The department of Computer Science of Kristu Jayanti College organized
an International Seminar on the ‘Quantitative Analysis for Science
Researches’ to equip the faculty members of the college, for tackling
various problems in the modern business arena on July 9, 2015. The
Seminar provided technologists with a variety of tools from mathematics,
statistics, economics and operational research to make precise
descriptions and solutions to the problems. Quantitative Data Analysis
is one of the emerging fields and opens many avenues in scientific
sector.
Dr. Seyed Mohamed Buhari, Faculty member of the computing and IT
department of King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia was the keynote
speaker of the Seminar. He discussed about probabilities, regression
models, decision analysis, linear programming, integer linear
programming, macro analysis, and waiting lines. The seminar witnessed
the participation of academicians from over twenty colleges.
