Centre for Life Skills Education (CLSE), Kristu Jayanti college and
Rajiv Gandhi National Institution of Youth, Chennai; jointly organized a
life skill training for the first year degree students from June 16,
2016 to June 22, 2016. The course was attended by 1500 under-graduate
students who were divided into 22 batches. The certificate course
consists of ten core skills namely self- awareness, empathy, creative
thinking, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, effective
communication, inter-personal relations, stress management and coping
with emotions. These skills are very beneficial in constructing and
polishing the personality of the students.
Dr. Jonas Richard, Director, Centre for Life Skills Education, Kristu Jayanti College said that the classes aim to help students to be happy in life and also to adapt different life skills and respond positively to the demands of everyday life. The main aim of the one week program was to help the students prepare them for a positive attitude towards life.
