e-Waste Drive 2015

The Centre for Social Activities (CSA) in association with SAAHAS, conducted a three day E-waste drive at Kristu Jayanti College to bring sensitization and awareness among students about E-waste collection and recycling from August 3 to August 5, 2015.
“The main objective of this drive is to create awareness among the students on the effects of e-waste on environment and measures to be taken to manage e-waste”, said Prof. Manjunath Gowda, Staff Coordinator of CSA. The CSA volunteers promoted the campaign through various programmes and motivated the students to drop e-waste in E- BINs planted at different areas of the college.

Van Mahotsav 2015

Centre for Social Activities (CSA) celebrated Van Mahotsav at Primary Health Centre, Bagalur on July 11, 2015. More than eighty student volunteers actively participated in Van Mahotsav by planting saplings in the health center premise. Prof. Manjunath S Gowda, Prof. Ragavendra Babu, Staff coordinators, CSA; also participated in the event. Earlier NSS unit of Kristu Jayanti College celebrated Van Mahotsav on July 7, 2015 in the college campus where Rev. Fr. Augustine George inaugurated the programme by planting the saplings.

Excelsior : Intra collegiate Commerce Fest (UG) | 21-22 August 2015 |
The Department of commerce organizes "Excelsior" an intra collegiate fest every year. Excelsior has been a milestone in the way to the students for their overall growth. It has also made their path to success by imbibing in the students the quality of managing the given resources. Every year the students unite in a combined and synergized effort to organize this fest. It only allows the students to explore their creative and business sensibilities but also provides a platform to exhibit textbook managerial practices in a more realistic and personal environment thus strengthening and firming their understanding of core concepts.
